Cable&Housing Box!

Cook, John Cassidy strikes again with his rad invention of a box for
cable and housing.

Part dispenser, part wrangler, hopefully it will keep those
Jagwire boxes in their place.

Viva industrious volunteer power!!!

We ARE proud!

From our email today, news from a Bicycle Kitchen all the way out East on the Smith College Campus.

As one our Cooks sez, "Soooo cooooool!!!!!!"

Bikes. A good idea. Read Below and watch the awesome video.

"Hi bicicocina,

My name is Samantha - I came to the Bicycle Kitchen back during bike summer 2005 for the first time, and then when I went back to college me and some friends started a small bike co-op in the basement of our dorm, with weekly bike fixin' workshops. We reclaimed abandoned bikes, fixed them up, and rented them out to students. We called it the Bicycle Kitchen in honor of your spot in LA (even though it wasn't in a kitchen).

Since, they have increased their fleet to 50 bikes and have gotten more attention on campus for what they're doing and increased bike usage. Thought you'd be interested in seeing this video of where they've come since 2005!!

We LOVE our Bike Buddies!

1. This Sunday, Bikerowave's hosting a Bike Swap Meet!
The Bikerowave will be hosting a bike and bike touring themed swap meet this coming Sunday, May 8th from 9am til 3pm. They invite you all to come sell some stuff, barter from some stuff and buy some stuff.

Where? Why right in front of their shop on Venice Blvd, that's where. 12255 Venice Blvd. 90066 (just up from Centinela)

They request that the sales items be limited to bike, bike apparel and accessories, light camping (think: bike touring) things and bike tools.

They aren't charging anything for the sellers and there might be some coffee, donuts, bagels, and OJ first thing.

Hope you can make it and spread the word!

2. Check out C.I.C.L.E.'s new website!
It's really well-done. Great colors!

For those of you who don't know, Cyclists Inciting Change thru Live Exchange (C.I.C.L.E.) is a nonprofit organization based in Los Angeles working to promote the bicycle as a viable, healthy, and sustainable transportation choice.
