Dear Bicycle Kitchen,
As a regular bike commuter and UCLA student, I've been working hard to put my passions for bike commuting to real use in celebration of Bike Week LA. Through the help of my internship at ONE/x, I've organized an ongoing bike commuting event called The Beatdown, launching on Monday and continuing through the end of Bike Month. From our newly created website at bikebeatscar.com, we're challenging people to time and log their commutes to work or school both by bike and by car, in order to prove that biking is faster than driving for urban commutes of 7 miles or less.
