Though naturally most of the vehicles folks bring in to the Bicycle Kitchen are bicycles, we are certainly not too proud to turn away the occasional tricycle or two. In a tremendous show of cuteness last weekend, Andy Daly, Carri Levinson, and their three-and-a-half-year-old daughter brought in a couple of tricycles from their preschool in need of a little repair. Andy and Carri took to the task, applying a bit of elbow grease to replace a broken pedal and puzzling over the proper way to change the inner tube on an old-timey tricycle. (It turns out that you have to remove the cranks.) Their daughter even took at break from her Scoops-fueled supervisory role to help put some air in the tires. In the end, the bikes were whipped back up into ship shape and are now "
back in heavy rotation" at the preschool. Total success!
Yes! Awesome tricycle.
