Hello.
Just a couple of friendly reminders:
Tomorrow the Bicycle Kitchen will be closed because we will be at Tour De Fat staffing the Merch and DIY booths. We will also have two mobile stands setup if you need to come and tune up your bike for CicLAvia which is on Sunday!
And the organizers of CicLAvia have asked us to pass on some advice.
From Joe Linton: "We're really trying to urge cyclists to slow down and to be respectful - to share the streets with 5-year-old cyclists, pedestrians, wheelchairs, etc. CicLAvia participants should expect a festival, not a race. We think that the route, especially downtown, is going to get very crowded, and we're suggesting that, wherever it gets really crowded, bicyclists should slow down, and probably should walk their bikes where appropriate.
We're doing a mandatory dismount in two locations (Beverly and New Hampshire, 4th and Boyle.)"
What a fun weekend we're about to have!
See you THERE!
Ride On.
