Though naturally most of the vehicles folks bring in to the Bicycle Kitchen are bicycles, we are certainly not too proud to turn away the occasional tricycle or two. In a tremendous show of cuteness last weekend, Andy Daly, Carri Levinson, and their three-and-a-half-year-old daughter brought in a couple of tricycles from their preschool in need of a little repair. Andy and Carri took to the task, applying a bit of elbow grease to replace a broken pedal and puzzling over the proper way to change the inner tube on an old-timey tricycle. (It turns out that you have to remove the cranks.) Their daughter even took at break from her Scoops-fueled supervisory role to help put some air in the tires. In the end, the bikes were whipped back up into ship shape and are now "back in heavy rotation" at the preschool. Total success!
